Chin and cheek implants are an excellent option if you wish to:
Ideal candidates for chin and cheek implants are in good physical health and have realistic expectations for the outcome of the procedure. Often, our Washington, D.C. plastic surgeons will recommend a facelift or rhinoplasty in conjunction with your facial implants in order to provide enhanced results.
Chin and cheek implant procedures are generally performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. Chin implants generally take about 30 minutes to complete and cheek implants will usually take about an hour.
Your chin implant will be placed through the lower lip or under your chin. Since your implants are placed internally, there will be no visible scars. Cheek implants will be placed through your upper lip or lower eyelid.
After surgery, you may experience mild to moderate discomfort for 2-7 days, but this can be controlled with pain medication. Your swelling will subside within 1-2 weeks for chin implants and 2-3 weeks for cheek implants. You can generally return to work within a week, and normal exercise can be resumed after two weeks.
Our board certified plastic surgeons have over 50 years of combined experience performing facial procedures, including facial implants. We are committed to providing you with high quality, compassionate care to ensure optimal levels of safety and beautiful results.
